This is a
permanent full-time position
commencing in May 2025.
The School Curriculum and Standards Division supports the Authority by providing administrative and secretariat services, implementing decisions, and ensuring quality curriculum, assessment, and standards to empower Western Australian students.
Within this framework, the Examinations, Certification, and Testing (ECT) Directorate plays a vital role in delivering educational services, including:
Implementing logistics for ATAR course examinations and EST;
Developing strategies for student performance recognition;
Designing, implementing, and evaluating educational measurement activities for Years 11 and 12;
Managing NAPLAN logistics and OLNA assessments;
Ensuring data integrity, analysis, and reporting;
Facilitating data transfer between schools and the Authority.
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct high-quality measurement analyses for various reports (national, internal, school, parent reports).
Design and implement equating studies to ensure test scaling consistency across years and cohorts.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to improve assessments.
Provide expert advice on psychometric principles to ensure assessment validity and reliability.
Engage with stakeholders at state and national levels, including tertiary institutions and national bodies.
Support online assessment delivery and data integrity for programs like NAPLAN and OLNA.
Provide tailored data sets for research and technical support for assessment queries.
Maintain accurate records in line with departmental policies.
