Billet Engineering is a forward-thinking manufacturing facility at the forefront of hydraulic cylinder technology in the Goldfields. We specialize in the manufacture and repair of hydraulic cylinders and associated components for both surface and underground mining equipment.
We're currently seeking expressions of interest from motivated individuals to join our Apprenticeship Program and become part of a dynamic team committed to excellence, safety, and innovation.
What You'll Learn
Over a 4-year apprenticeship, you'll gain hands-on experience and complete a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (MEM*****), paving the way to become a qualified Machinist – Fitter/Turner.
Key skills you'll develop include
:
Machining, assembly, and manufacturing techniques
Operation of manual lathes, CNC machines, and horizontal boring
Precision measurement and quality control
Installation and modification of machinery
Fault finding and testing of mechanical components
Maintenance and servicing of equipment and tools

Selection Criteria
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Minimum completion of Year 10 with solid results in Mathematics and English
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated interest in the metal trades (e.g., work experience, related studies)
Certificate II in Engineering is an advantage
Neat and professional personal presentation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to workplace safety and OHS standards
Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol screening and a full medical assessment
