About The Role
As an Event Technology Operations Assistant, you will play an integral part in the IT co-ordination of the Australian Open and summer of tennis, helping the Event Technology Manager execute IT operational readiness for all our major events.
This role requires focus on event technology operations coordination and administration and while continuing to build strong relationships and communication across a number of internal and external stakeholders.
This is not a Technical Helpdesk Role.
Reporting to the Event Technology Manager, you will:
* Assist in coordination and on-site management of various event activities including scheduling, credentials, signage, facility ordering, operation plans, security briefing notes and safety information, bump in/out information and post event debrief processes.
* Putting internal and external customers first, building strong relationships and ensuring that the approach is responsive, and the quality of service meets agreed standards.
* Ensure all members of the event technology team, including vendors and contractors, have the necessary resources to complete their tasks, including guidance and training of our critical event systems and processes.
* Maintain and ensure the accuracy of data and information in critical event systems (CES): requirements management system and SharePoint intranet sites and pages
* Taking initiative to improve operations/services/products and systems so that they are consistent with the Corporation’s strategic direction and values; incorporating innovation and experimentation into daily work.
* Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices within event technology operations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you are a highly organised and proactive individual with a passion for operational excellence and a keen interest in event operations. You bring a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. You enjoy being part of a team working towards a shared goal and are excited by the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of world-class events.
What you will bring to the role:
* Minimum 2- 3 year experience in a similar event operations assistant role and the facilitation of event bump in/outs, third party management and compliance.
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology.
* Basic understanding of a relational database.
* Microsoft SharePoint site creation foundational skills.
* Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* A creative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional events.
