The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RPG Developer to join the IT team, working closely with stakeholders across ANZ and SEA. Reporting to the Software Services Manager, you'll play a key role in developing, enhancing, and supporting core ERP systems. The role involves end-to-end development - from requirements analysis and functional design through to coding, testing and support. You'll also collaborate with global IT teams and external vendors to deliver seamless, integrated technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide analysis, functional and technical specifications, coding and unit testing for new developments, enhancements and bug fixes
- Develop solutions that interface seamlessly with external systems
- Deliver levels 1-3 application support for the Service Desk across ANZ & SEA
- Attend workshops and meetings with business and IT users to define requirements and project scope
- Write and maintain functional and technical specifications for review and approval
- Collaborate with the IT Manager and Software Services Manager to ensure objectives are on track
- Work with US and UK IT teams and third-party vendors as required
- Regularly review and update unit test plans for compliance and audit purposes
Your Profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
- Significant experience as an RPG programmer in an ERP workplace
- Strong skills in RPG, RPGLE, CL and SQL programming
- In-depth knowledge of the IBM-i platform and operating system
- Strong understanding of coding best practices and ability to design effective business solutions
- Knowledge of IO programs, file access, and use of copy books within RPG programs
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
- Strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a distributed and global team
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with O365 toolset desirable
