The Opportunity
We're seeking a Management Accountant to play a critical role in supporting financial decision‑making across Green Gravity.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision‑making.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast‑growing, pre‑revenue environment where autonomy, accountability, and adaptability are essential. You'll work closely with senior leaders across the business, ensure strong financial governance, and help drive automation and technology adoption within the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
* Lead the development of annual budgets, coordinating inputs across business units.
* Manage quarterly reforecasts aligned with strategic objectives.
* Supervise payroll processing, invoice payment scheduling, payroll tax and workers compensation returns.
* Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support projects and decision‑making.
* Maintain integrity and accuracy of financial data in Xero and related systems.
* Drive automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement within accounting processes.
* Collaborate with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
About You

* Accounting Professional: Qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
* Management Accounting Experience: Background in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Systems‑Savvy: Experience using Xero or similar cloud‑based accounting platforms.
* Analytical: Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
* Communicator: Able to clearly explain financial insights to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Adaptable: Comfortable working with ambiguity in a growing organisation.
* Experience: Minimum 5 years' prior accounting experience.
