Job Description About the role
As the Chief Financial Officer you will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of all financial services. This includes financial planning, budgeting, risk management and compliance as it relates to Finance, and oversight of ICT and Facilities Management. The role supports the CEO and Board in achieving the organisation’s strategic objectives through sound financial stewardship and operational excellence.
This role is an active member of the Finance & Audit Committee and is a Senior Management representative on the CCPC Board with the CEO. Participation on operational committees and working groups is also expected of this role. You will be required to undertake a range of tasks including but not limited to the following:
Provide advice to the Leadership Team, CEO and Board on the financial implications of business activities and provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
Work closely with the CEO and Leadership Team to develop annual financial budgets that support the Company’s long-term strategy.
Responsible for the financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, asset management cash flow, month‑end and year‑end processes to ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis; or as required.
Coordinate information for Board Meetings and Finance and Audit Committee in accordance with required timeframes.
Oversee all financial external audit and internal control operations to maintain compliance with accounting standards.
Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations including taxation, employment laws and other regulatory legislation.
Lead and manage corporate services functions of ICT, and Facilities Management.
Desired Skills and Experience Key Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or related field.
CPA or CA qualification required.
Minimum 5 years experience in a senior financial leadership role.
Proven experience in financial and management accounting within an SME or not-for-profit environment.
Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and risk management.
Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial systems.
Experience managing corporate services functions including ICT, and Facilities.
Microsoft Office and financial software systems.
A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a Criminal Record Check (CRC) issued within the last 12 months that includes working with vulnerable groups.
A valid NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) to be obtained and maintained at your own expense.
