**Technical Business Analyst Role Overview**
This 12-month engagement with potential extensions offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a large-scale digital transformation project in Canberra, with the option for flexible hybrid work arrangements. Security clearance and Australian citizenship are essential requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* To effectively deliver diverse projects, you will collaborate closely with program, business, and technical stakeholders to discover, define, validate, prioritize, and continuously manage requirements that align with architectural principles and strategies.
* You will examine and organize requirements to record dependencies, relationships, and identify logical sequences, ensuring seamless project execution.
* Synthesize business and technical requirements/concepts and present them in simple terms, facilitating effective communication among stakeholders.
* Draft business analyst artefacts and documents, including risk analysis, scope modeling, business process modeling, data discovery and analysis, problem tracking, and sequence diagrams.
* Support stakeholder analysis by engaging with stakeholders to understand cross-business functions and foster effective collaboration.
* Undertake project quality management tasks, such as peer and quality reviews of specifications and design documents, ensuring designed solutions meet business requirements.
* Translate requirements into project deliverables and tasks, assisting the project manager and team members.
* Document systems and solutions developed, delivered, and maintained by the team, ensuring accurate records.
* Work with an outcome focus, challenging the business while retaining a customer-centric approach, and respond to competing requests in a calm and efficient manner.
* Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling information.
Essential Criteria
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role performing business analysis activities, including workshop facilitation and supporting high-impact initiatives.
2. Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical SMEs to define and obtain business needs, technical constraints, and technical concepts.
3. Experience in managing multiple business stakeholders and establishing effective working relationships.
4. A minimum of 2 years' experience in cloud platforms (preferably Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure), including delivery of new services.
5. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaison and keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, fostering productive relationships across multiple projects and business areas.
