Your new role
As Electrical Supervisor within Council's Fleet and Facilities team, you will take the lead in managing electrical maintenance activities across a diverse range of community assets.
You will be responsible for supervising a team of electricians, apprentices and contractors, ensuring all work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Your role will involve coordinating maintenance programs and asset life cycles, including traffic management systems and traffic lights, while providing expert technical advice to optimise reliability, performance and cost-effectiveness.
You will also oversee emergency responses during critical events such as cyclones and floods, delivery of capital projects and input into tender and contract scopes and preparation.
Drive innovation by implementing sustainable and technological advancements.
Compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements will be central to your work, as will fostering a strong safety culture within your team.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
Strong leadership qualities and skills with knowledge and experience in managing and motivating a multidisciplinary team.
Proven experience in the electrical industry, including maintenance of traffic light systems and complex electrical assets.
Comprehensive knowledge of statutory requirements, safety standards, and relevant legislation.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prepare tenders, and oversee contract administration.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering quality customer service.
