Role Purpose
The Ramp Agent is responsible for performing a range of ground handling activities that support the safe, efficient and timely turnaround of aircraft, baggage, freight and associated equipment. The role involves hands‐on operational duties across ramp and aircraft handling functions, ensuring compliance with company procedures, airline service level agreements (SLAs), standard operating procedures (SOPs) and all applicable safety and security requirements. The successful candidate will be required to work a night‐shift roster, covering operations from Monday‐Thursday between 2300 and 0400.
What you will be doing
* Perform basic serviceability and maintenance checks of vehicles and equipment, including refuelling activities.
* Undertake hands‐on operational duties associated with aircraft handling, baggage handling, freight and cargo operations.
* Adhere to all requirements contained within the Menzies Aviation Ground Operating Manual.
* Operate approved ground handling and commercial airport equipment, including tow tugs, belt loaders, freight and cargo equipment, aircraft servicing equipment, transport vehicles and water servicing equipment (excluding high lift loaders, lower/main deck loaders and pushback equipment where not authorised).
* Perform aircraft loading and unloading activities in accordance with load plans, operational procedures and airline requirements.

What we are looking for
* Current and valid Victoria driver's licence
* Experience working in airport ground handling, ramp operations, logistics or a similar operational environment.
* Ability to safely operate ground support equipment and work in a fast‐paced operational setting.
* Strong understanding of aircraft loading, baggage handling and freight handling processes.
* Commitment to safety, operational compliance and quality standards.
* Ability to follow procedures accurately and work effectively within established operational frameworks.
