Civil Construction | Full-time | Leadership Role | Queenstown based
My client is expanding their business in Queenstown, Otago and is looking for an experienced Drainage Division Manager to lead and grow operations from tender through to successful project delivery. This is a senior operational role with full accountability for people, projects, performance, and profitability of the drainage division.

In this role, you'll work closely with the Managing Director and wider leadership team to build strong business relationships and deliver high quality project outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial awareness, technical drainage expertise, and proven leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to contract specification.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead drainage projects from tender through to completion
* Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to specification
* Manage contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, and client relationships
* Control project costs, labour, plant, and financial performance
* Identify and manage risks, variations, claims, and programme impacts
* Champion health, safety, and environmental compliance
* Support workload planning, business growth, and client retention
About You
* Proven experience managing drainage or civil construction projects
* Engineering diploma or equivalent industry experience (preferred)
* Strong contract administration and financial management skills
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
* Excellent communication and leadership capability
* Confidence managing multiple projects and stakeholders
* Current clean Class 1 licence
