About the role
As a Weighbridge Operator at the Paget Waste Facility, your primary responsibilities include:
* Operating the weighbridge system (Mandalay) to log waste transactions accurately.
* Weighing incoming and outgoing waste vehicles and ensuring compliance with regulations.
* Handling cash and processing EFT transactions.
* Providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with waste disposal and recycling inquiries.
* Ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting of waste transactions.
* Maintaining site safety and ensuring compliance with environmental and operational procedures.
What we're looking for
* Basic computer skills (mandatory) and experience using weighbridge systems (desirable).
* Friendly personality with excellent customer service and communication skills.
* A commitment to safety, teamwork, and following operational procedures.
* Experience in waste management, transport, or logistics is desirable but not essential.
* Full training provided for the right candidate.
* A passion for sustainability, recycling, and environmental responsibility.
