**About the role**:
The Communications Planning Manager is primarily responsible for facilitating the strategic development of the Brand and Communications plan, with a focus on driving a superior planning process amongst Brand and Communications stakeholders across the business.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the role also includes management of our Agencies, ensuring that the contracts deliver rates and services benchmarked to market and that the rights and terms of contracts are upheld throughout the contract term; including but not limited to, our Advertising, Media, Social and Digital Screens agencies.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Lead the process to deliver a best-in-class Brand and Communication strategy, fostering a cross-collaborative effort both within the department and with broader marketing stakeholders
- Actively seek opportunities to prioritise or amplify activity across the Brand and Communications portfolio, with a focus on driving deeper customer engagement and impact in market
- Drive revenue generation by maximising the utilisation of our owned assets, supported by a planned approach to Monetising our owned media assets, including but not limited to social media, website, CRM and digital screens
- The role is based in Sydney at our Head Office in Alexandria NSW and includes a hybrid working option with flexibility dependent on scheduled delivery outcomes and stakeholder engagement requirements
- Management of the In Store Digital Screen and Music Programs
- Management of Creative and Media agencies including annual retainer negotiations and contracts, ongoing monthly management and ensuring delivery against key deliverables, including but not limited to Saatchi & Saatchi, iProspect, Engagis and Qsic
- Management of in-house Design capability including the management of organisational workflow of 1 internal designer and engagement contracted designers as and when required
- **Execute **effective and timely communication of the plan to key stakeholders across the wider business
The role is a **12-month maximum term contract** (Parental Leave) based in Sydney at our Head Office in Alexandria NSW and includes a hybrid working option with flexibility dependent on scheduled delivery outcomes and stakeholder engagement requirements.
**About you**:
You will be tertiary qualified in Business or Marketing or demonstrate 7+ years of experience in a Communications Planning position within an ASX100 business or similar. Previous experience within the Petrol and Convenience industry will be highly regarded.
Your experience will showcase your proficiency in developing and implementing strategies and execution plans within a retail business that meet and exceed commercial targets together with managing Agency contract development, including negotiations, market benchmarking and evaluation of deliverables.
You bring well-developed organisational skills with you and possess the capacity to be flexible in balancing priorities to meet/exceed customer needs. You will execute with excellence and demonstrate whole of organisation thinking.
