Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Hospitality Professional to join our team at a 300+ seat waterfront restaurant in the $588m Trinity Point 5 Star Luxury Waterfront Development overlooking Lake Macquarie.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle a busy section with multiple sittings per day for section waitstaff.
* Take reservations, greet customers, present menus and beverage lists.
* Set and arrange tables, recommend dishes and wines to complement food.
* Take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff, serve food and beverages.
* Open bottles, pour beverages, mix liquor, and assist in the cellar.
* Clear tables, return dishes and cutlery to the kitchen, remove empty bottles and used glasses, refill and replace glasses.
* Collect payments for sales and operate point of sale machines and cash registers.
* Communicate food orders to chefs and pay attention to priorities and special requests (e.g., food allergies).
* Communicate and liaise with other front of house and kitchen staff to keep up to date on stock levels.
* Prepare food and beverage areas of the Restaurant for service, adhere to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) legislation and requirements.
* Communicate any issues concerning service and elevate complaints to the Restaurant Manager, leave customers satisfied with the outcome.
* Perform other duties as assigned, maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
* Adopt continuous learning and improvement processes in all aspects of the position.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Relevant qualification or work experience in a similar position required.
* Ability to handle a busy section with multiple sittings per day.
* Must be very well presented, well spoken, reliable and honest.
* Available to work days, evenings and weekends.
