The Continental Hotel operates with a solid volume of business. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Tiler to join our team. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality finishes across a range of commercial projects.
You will be responsible for wall and floor tiling, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces for tiling, including cleaning, leveling, and waterproofing
* Measure and cut tiles to fit around edges and fixtures
* Lay tiles in accordance with plans and design specifications
* Apply grout and sealants to ensure durability and finish quality
* Repair and replace damaged tiles as required
* Maintain tools and ensure a clean and safe work environment
* Work collaboratively with site supervisors and other trades
Skills & Experience
* Clear verbal communication skills
* Ability to read plans and follow specifications
* Knowledge of waterproofing and surface preparation techniques
* Experience working on commercial or residential sites
* Ability to perform manual work including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods
* Ability to work in varying weather conditions
Salary between $76, 515 and $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.
