Shift Supervisor – PM
- $52.80 base casual rate, plus 15% PM shift loading ($60.72 per hour)
- Large Plastic Manufacturing industry
- Monday to Friday 3.00pm-11.00pm
- Free and secured on site parking for all staff
- Kings Park location
We are currently seeking an experienced, agile and resilient Site Supervisor to join a plastics manufacturing company in Kings Park. Reporting to the Site Manager, the PM Shift Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Manufacturing Facility and for achieving cost and production targets.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Assist Site Manager in maintaining safe operating parameters.
- Enforce site PPE standards.
- Ensure all staff are aware of and comply with our WHS policies and procedures.
- Ensure appropriate WHS documentation is completed as required
- Manage production feed rates and product yields to meet the production targets as provided by the Site Manager and the Operations Manager
- Assist the Site Manager to develop production plans and schedules to ensure optimal resource utilisation.
- In conjunction with the Site Manager and Operations Manager, ensure there is adequate staffing to cover absences due to illness, annual leave etc.
- Ensure employees have sufficient on the job training and skills to perform tasks.
- Organise Labour combinations
- Organise over time when required
- Maximise assets utilisation
- Adjustment of Machine Parameters
- Issue Packer’s need in accordance with HACCP
- General Duties as required
- Allocate tasks such as sorting and cleaning when additional labour is available or when such tasks are required to be completed
- Recognise deviations and faults in processing and adjust machines to rectify
- Attend the quality issues
- Fill out Reports daily
- Always lead by way of example and set standards for employees to follow.
- Ensure employees are punctual with their timekeeping, both at the start time and returning from breaks.
Requirements
- 2 years supervisory experience within manufacturing essential
- Experience in Plastic Manufacturing preferred
- Strong PC and computer literacy skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility
- Time management skills that are consistent and rigid
- A high level of attention to detail
