Who We Are
UNSW College is a values- based organisation committed to student success and opening worlds of possibilities for learning. We believe that educating with heart is the key to unlocking everyone's potential. At UNSW College, we work collaboratively to drive innovation and excellence in our teaching and learning, in our governance and operations and, most importantly, to build the community we believe is essential to enrich our students' experience.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst, with a focus on process improvement, to help us deliver efficiently, consistently, and to be future-ready. You'll bring a strong mix of analysis and process improvement expertise, working with stakeholders across the organisation to simplify and standardise the way we work.
What you will do:
Lead and facilitate workshops with cross functional stakeholders to simplify and standardise our end-to-end processes and design new lifecycle processes.
Apply Lean and continuous improvement methods to drive simpler, standardised outcomes.
Capture, analyse and document end to end processes and value streams.
Support the delivery of process improvement frameworks, templates, and best practice approaches.
Dig to understand the root cause of the business problem, be curious and ask why to ensure the problem is understood, why is it needed not just because you are told its needed.
Clearly define opportunities
Elicit, analyse and document business and functional and non-functional requirements
What you'll bring
You will be a blend of curious, structured, and empathetic, who thinks critically and asks questions – to uncover what really matters. You listen deeply to what is said and importantly what is not said, reading between the Ines of business pain points. You'll have a proven background in business and process analysis and excellent communication and influencing skills, enabling you to work across stakeholder groups at all levels to turn insights into practical, scalable improvements. You'll bring an ability to design and implement new processes, not just improve existing ones, using your familiarity with AI and automation tools to deliver value we can see and measure. Experience in higher education or similar complex organisational environments is preferable but not essential.
