Senior Geologist (MIN97003) Fixed term part time opportunity for up to 6 months with the possibility for extension and/or permanency Are you looking for more? More money? More job satisfaction? The role As the Senior Geologist, you will play a pivotal role in conducting advanced geoscientific studies to produce high-quality reports, maps, and datasets for publication, with a particular focus on energy geoscience. This role will encompass key geological elements such as reservoirs, source rocks, seals, thermal regimes, stratigraphy, and structural frameworks. Your success in this role will hinge on your ability to author quality, comprehensive reports and maps relevant to promoting energy prospectivity and regional basin frameworks. Proficiency in relevant geoscience computer-based applications and databases will also be critical. Extensive experience in advanced energy geoscience studies particularly in areas related to petroleum, natural hydrogen, helium, geothermal or CO2 sequestration will be essential to your effectiveness and impact in this role. While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies (permanent, fixed-term, full-time or part-time) within the department for the next 24 months, from the date that the recruitment breach period has been finalised. Substantial experience in advanced energy geoscience studies including petroleum, natural hydrogen, helium, geothermal or CO2 sequestration.
