Join to apply for the Manager IT Infrastructure and Security role at Samaritans Foundation. The opportunity is a full-time, permanent vacancy reporting to the Director of IT. The role is responsible for ensuring digital services, ICT and information systems are appropriately governed and managed throughout their lifecycle to support the organisation's strategic and operational goals.
Role & Responsibilities
* Strategic IT Leadership - Shape and execute medium- to long-term IT strategies aligned with business goals.
* Technology Innovation - Lead planning and implementation of emerging technologies, including AI.
* Policy & Compliance Oversight - Ensure IT policies and procedures meet internal and external standards.
* Team Management - Lead the IT Infrastructure & Security team, fostering collaboration and managing priorities.
* Resource & Vendor Oversight - Manage infrastructure provisioning and third-party vendor performance.
* Budget Management - Oversee operational and capital IT budgets to ensure cost-effective delivery.
* Infrastructure & Security Operations - Design, maintain, and monitor IT infrastructure, including disaster recovery and service reliability.
* Cybersecurity Leadership - Execute cybersecurity strategy, monitor threats, and ensure regulatory compliance.
* AI Infrastructure Readiness - Prepare infrastructure for scalable AI workloads and establish governance frameworks.
* Stakeholder Engagement - Communicate performance, risks, and initiatives while promoting tech and cybersecurity awareness.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, information technology, or a similar field.
* Minimum 10 years' experience in the field.
* In-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies preferably in the Aged Care, NDIS, community services, and education sectors.
* Specialised IT management competencies in IT infrastructure, networks, cloud computing and architecture.
* Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organisation.
* Negotiation and problem-solving skills.
* People management and leadership skills, together with professional standards of planning and budgeting.
* Demonstrated acumen and passion for technology. Thorough knowledge of best-practice IT governance e.g., ITIL.
