Job Description
The Department of Housing & Public Works is responsible for the successful delivery of key capital programs on behalf of the Queensland Government. The department works closely with stakeholders to deliver well-designed solutions to some of the biggest challenges facing the state.
As a Capital Program Delivery Specialist, you will utilize your professional leadership and management capabilities to deliver projects on schedule and budget, in accordance with statutory responsibilities, government priorities, funding agreements with project partners, and departmental policies and procedures. The role requires an ability to manage the delivery of complex capital works programs that deliver positive economic and social outcomes and provide solutions from feasibility through to final project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the delivery of capital programs from procurement through to post-occupancy evaluation.
2. Effective project management ensuring achievement of key performance metrics (time/cost/quality).
3. Develop and maintain key relationships with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring objectives are supported by the delivery teams.
4. People leadership & development – ensuring teams are motivated and supported to achieve key deliverables.
5. Collaborate effectively across government to maximise benefits for Queensland.
