About The Role
Our long-standing relationships and deep knowledge of the insurance industry have seen us recognised as the premier Insurance Law & Litigation practice in Australia.
This role will support the Client Services Manager & Specialists to manage client service invoicing and general administration for the practice group. You will be responsible for all aspects of client bill preparation including manage of client rates and guidelines.
Responsibilities
o Managing volume end to end client invoice processing including edits, write offs, reversals and dispute resolution in line with strict client service standards and billing rules
o Processing a high volume of invoices monthly
o Generating LEDES files and ensuring prompt submission through clients e-billing portals
o Setting up and maintaining users in clients e-billing portals
o Setting up delayed split invoices and tracking of deductibles matters
o Ensuring proper setup of new clients including rate and guideline management and maintenance
o Entering and maintaining client agreed volume discounts and alternative billing arrangements in the firms practice management system
o Providing general support to the Client Services team to ensure timely processing of a high volume of invoices
o Assisting as required with the new matter opening process ensuring all critical data and client specific rules and billing groups are captured and consistent
o Updating internal systems with client updates, including SharePoint, names, addresses, contacts
o Ensuring timely resolution of invoicing issues (including reversals) and assisting (as required) with pro-active debtor management
o Generating, finalising & sending cost agreements to insureds in consultation with the legal team
o General administration duties - including updating the client database and internal client and service line email distribution lists
About You
o Certificate in Legal Studies desired but not essential
o High level knowledge of Excel
o A working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Adobe
o Knowledge of document management and billing systems (ideally Aderant Expert)
o Administrative support and billing experience gained in a law firm
o Insurance law exposure desired
o Experience communicating with clients
