POSITION TITLE: Business Development Executive

REPORTING TO: Group General Manager - Sales

PROBATIONARY PERIOD: The probationary period for this role is the first six (6) months of employment

WORK HOURS: This position is a fulltime position (Monday – Friday), totalling 80 hours per fortnight. Start and finish times may vary, with standard hours being 8.00am to 4.30pm. After hours work and regional travel will be required on an ad hoc basis. Interstate and international travel opportunities may also be available.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting directly to the Group General Manager - Sales, you will manage key accounts across all verticals in Western Australia and the Eastern States for a leading security, life safety and communications integrator.

You will possess strong networking skills and a proven ability to leverage new opportunities and achieve sales targets. The role will require a hands‑on approach and a friendly, sincere and team‑based attitude to sales.

You will actively support existing and new client accounts in a role which will promote our wider complementary suite of products and services.

Within the role, you will develop your knowledge of security, life safety and duress technology, along with your understanding of the security, aged care and service industries.

Complimentary knowledge of commercial security or service-based industries is highly advantageous. Experience with security, life safety and communications systems and products is desirable (such as security alarms, CCTV, access control, intercom, BMS, nurse call, duress, medical alarms, and GPON).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients;
* Participate in and contribute to team meetings and other company events;
* Attend, exhibit and present at conferences, exhibitions and other industry events;
* Prepare action plans and schedules to identify strategies, targets and projections;
* Seek, identify and follow up new leads and referrals resulting from field activity;
* Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned;
* Develop and prepare sales targets, presentations, proposals, quotations and contracts;
* Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge;
* Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships;
* Manage account services through quality checks and follow-up;
* Identify and resolve client concerns;
* Research, identify and promote new product and service opportunities and developments;
* Communicate feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate team members;
* Other duties as required.

KEY QUALITIES:

* Possess a current and valid WA Driver's Licence;
* Demonstrate experience developing and nurturing customer, supplier and internal relationships;
* Demonstrate professional and confident customer service and client liaison skills;
* Demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills;
* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
* Demonstrate proficiency in email, word processing and computing skills;
* Ability to work both autonomously and as an efficient team member;
* Ability to handle and solve customer and supplier enquiries and concerns;
* Ability to work under pressure while remaining accurate in all duties;
* Maintain professional personal presentation at all times;
* Possess a current and valid WA Security Installer and Consultant License;
* Demonstrate prior knowledge of working with SimPRO;
* Demonstrate prior experience working in the security or service-based industries.
