Workers Compensation Manager
. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for improving claim outcomes, uplifting capability, and ensuring a safe, supportive environment for employees to thrive.
Reporting to the head of HR, you will own the organisation's workers compensation and injury management framework, balancing care, compliance, and commercial outcomes.
The Role
* Lead the end-to-end workers compensation function (NSW focused, with potential multi-state exposure)
* Drive early intervention, sustainable return-to-work, and best-practice case management
* Manage internal and external stakeholders: insurers/agents, medical providers, rehab consultants, legal partners and regulators
* Review trends, develop insights, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
* Oversee compliance, governance, reporting, and documentation standards
* Contribute to broader WHS/People initiatives (prevention, psychosocial risk, wellbeing, training)
About You
* Demonstrated experience leading workers compensation / injury management
in a complex environment
* Strong knowledge of NSW workers compensation legislation and claims management practices
* Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and coach leaders through complex matters
* Confidence managing high-risk and complex claims (including psychological injury)
* Strong reporting, analytics and continuous improvement capability
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a calm and solutions-focused approach
