About the Role We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer with 3-6 years of post-admission experience (PAE) to join our thriving practice. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Advise on Business Transactions : Guide clients through the process of buying or selling businesses, ensuring due diligence and smooth transaction management. Draft and Negotiate Business Contracts : Provide expert advice on commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms to best serve client interests. Manage Shareholder Agreements and Transactions : Assist clients in structuring shareholder arrangements, conducting buyouts, or navigating complex shareholder disputes. Corporate Advisory Services : Offer strategic advice on corporate governance, restructuring, and compliance matters, ensuring clients meet their legal obligations. Intellectual Property (IP) Law (optional) : Support clients with IP protection, registration, and management, ensuring they maximize their IP assets. Conveyancing (optional but desired) : Assist with property transactions, including sales, purchases, and lease agreements. Leasing Matters : Advise clients on leasing agreements, lease disputes, and property management, with a focus on commercial leasing. Tax, Planning, and Environment Law (optional) : Provide guidance on tax implications, planning approvals, and environmental considerations for business operations. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will have: 3-6 years of PAE in commercial law, with a strong foundation in buy/sell transactions and corporate advisory. Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and managing shareholder agreements. Exposure to IP law, conveyancing, tax, and environmental planning is highly regarded, but not essential. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
