Hays is proud to partner with Avenira Limited to recruit a Senior Site Administrator for the Wonarah Phosphate Project, located in the Barkly region of the Northern Territory.Avenira is a fertilizer‐focused project developer progressing a long‐life, world‐scale phosphate operation.
As the site transitions into steady‐state operations, this role presents an opportunity for an experienced site administration professional to contribute to a growing NT mining project with long‐term potential.
The OpportunityReporting to the Resident General Manager and/or Business Services Manager, the Senior Site Administrator will lead site‐wide administrative functions while providing high‐level support across finance, HR administration, FIFO logistics, camp operations, governance, and compliance.This is a senior, hands‐on role requiring autonomy, strong judgment, and the ability to support both site leadership and corporate stakeholders in a remote FIFO environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end‐to‐end site administration, governance, and document control
* Provide bookkeeping and financial support, including PR/PO processing, accruals, cost allocations, and end‐of‐month processes
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting in collaboration with site and corporate finance teams
* Coordinate FIFO travel, mobilisations, and demobilisations (FIFO/DIDO/BIBO)
* Manage camp accommodation and tenancy administration in conjunction with camp service providers
* Provide executive‐level administrative and EA support to senior site leadership
* Administer HR processes including onboarding, reporting, and maintenance of HR systems
* Maintain WHS, compliance, and online safety systems
* Act as a key point of contact for site personnel, contractors, and community enquiries
* Mentor and support site administration team members
To be successful, you will bring
* Proven senior‐level site administration experience, ideally with significant remote or FIFO mining operations, with demonstrated capability to operate autonomously and support senior site leadership across finance, HR, and operational interfaces.
* A strong background across site administration, bookkeeping and cost reporting, HR administration and reporting, camp accommodation management, and general site support, relevant to
* the mining or heavy industry sector.
* Experience supporting end‐of‐month processes, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls with a high degree of accuracy and governance awareness.
* Demonstrated capability using HR and workforce systems such as Employment Hero and/or ELMO, along with online safety and WHS platforms including MYOSH, SkyTrust, GOSH, or SAI Global.
* Strong systems proficiency, including ERP platforms such as Pronto, Pulse, SAP, and advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
* Well‐developed communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build trusted working relationships across site and corporate teams.
* Current Australian work rights and a valid driver's licence.
Qualifications (Highly Regarded)
* Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (Preferred)
* First Aid, Warden, Fire Extinguisher, or WHS training
* Experience working with NT regulatory, payroll tax, and WorkCover requirements
