**Job Opportunity:** Community Mental Health Specialist
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our community mental health team. As a Community Mental Health Specialist, you will work with clients who require ongoing specialist treatment and support for serious mental illness and associated high levels of disability.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the provision of assessment, discipline-specific intervention, and case management services to consumers with complex needs and their carers within a recovery framework. You will be highly developed in interpersonal and communication skills, with postgraduate qualifications in a relevant area of specialty desirable.

About the Role:
* You will provide a high standard of clinical assessment, treatment, and support to clients of our integrated adult MHS and their carers, demonstrating excellence in discipline-specific and recovery-focused case management skills.
* You will work within a dynamic community mental health team operating under a recovery-oriented model of care, utilizing the Strengths Model of Case Management.
* You will undertake the assessment, provision of treatment, and delivery of targeted interventions to consumers with complex mental health-related needs and their family/carers in line with the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2022 and SVMH policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work within the Strengths Model of recovery-oriented practice.
* Build a therapeutic alliance with the consumer and family/carers and actively engage them in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of their care.
* Undertake the assessment, provision of treatment, and delivery of targeted interventions to consumers with complex mental health-related needs and their family/carers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or Social Work.
* Clinical Masters in Psychology and current Registration as a Psychologist under the Health Professions Registration Act 2005 (Vic).
* A minimum of at least 2 years post-qualification within your profession, preferably within the mental health field.
