The Therapy Place WA provides comprehensive mental health services across the lifespan, including psychological counseling, assessments, and early intervention supports. We prioritise empathetic, client-focused support to promote overall wellbeing. Our multidisciplinary allied health team includes registered psychologists, provisional psychologists, a mental health accredited social worker, and speech pathologist (assessmrnt only). Together, we address various needs such as trauma, grief, mental health disorders, family challenges, and NDIS and Autism related support. Located in Bunbury, WA, our team is dedicated to supporting individuals in achieving their mental health goals.
Role Description
This is a contracted on-site role for a Registered Psychologist at The Therapy Place WA, located in Bunbury, WA. The Psychologist will provide psychological counseling and mental health support for clients of all ages. Responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, creating individualized treatment plans, diagnosing and managing mental health conditions, and providing ongoing therapeutic support. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to address complex client needs while maintaining a commitment to empathetic, client-centered care. Group work may be optional.
Qualifications
Expertise in Psychology and Mental Health, with knowledge of psychological theories and approaches.
Experience in Counseling to provide effective therapeutic interventions and support.
Proficiency in Psychological Assessment and diagnosis of mental health and functional disorders.
A strong understanding of core principles in Medicine relevant to mental health care.
Excellent communication, empathy, and active listening skills.
Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., AHPRA) and adherence to professional ethical standards.
Experience in addressing issues such as trauma, grief, family conflict, and mental health disorders is highly desirable.
Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or an equivalent qualification.
