Overview
This role provides high‐level administrative support to the Director and Deputy Directors of Teaching and Learning, and Program / Major Convenors within the Business School's Teaching and Learning portfolio. It plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of teaching and learning initiatives and works closely with academic leaders in a collaborative, fast‐paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‐level administrative support to the Director and Deputy Directors of Teaching and Learning, including managing communications and coordinating activities.
* Coordinate data collection, reporting, and the preparation of the monthly Teaching and Learning Newsletter.
* Act as a key point of contact for Program and Major Convenors, triaging enquiries and supporting effective communication across the School.
* Organise meetings, workshops and events, ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures, including travel and hospitality requirements.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of (or the ability to quickly learn) UQ Teaching and Learning systems and processes.
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with experience supporting senior leaders in a complex environment.
* Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
* The ability to use initiative, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Appointment
Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre‐employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, criminal history checks, gender‐based violence matters or other integrity and conduct requirements. The successful applicant must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the appointment; employer‐sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
Employment Details
* Full‐time (100%) fixed‐term position for up to 8 months (HEW Level 5).
