About The Role
The role of Truck Driver HC plays a crucial role in providing haulage services that support the operations of Council. This position is essential for ensuring that services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
As a Truck Driver HC, you will be responsible for operating heavy vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing excellent customer service during transport operations. You will work closely with various teams and supervisors to achieve operational goals while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
a current Heavy Combination (HC) Drivers Licence
a current Construction General Induction Card - NSW SafeWork or equivalent
a current Working Near Overhead Powerlines accreditation OR a willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe
a current RMS NSW Traffic Control Stop/ Slow accreditation OR willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe
load shifting plant certification and verification of competency for excavator (LE) loader/ backhoe (LB) and front end loader (LL) OR willingness to obtain withing a specified timeframe
experience in the driving of a prime mover / low loader and semi-trailer tipper in within the civil maintenance and construction industry
experience in the loading, transportation and unloading of heavy earthmoving plant
experience in the transportation of bulk materials using a semitrailer tipper
experience in general labouring duties within the civil maintenance and construction industry
knowledge of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) fatigue management requirements
knowledge in the application of load restraint devices and techniques

Other Important Information
The commencing salary for this position is up to $68k per year. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $78.8k on completion of assessment of skills and performance +12% superannuation+ $19.49 per week working allowance
We have a permanent full-time role available
This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
This role is located at Council's Erina Works Depot.
Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
