About the Role
We’re seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Electrical Fitter/Mechanic to join our growing team in a full-time, permanent role.
You’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of pump control and instrumentation systems while working on diverse projects involving stormwater, wastewater, industrial, and agricultural pumping applications.
This role offers the opportunity to broaden your electrical skillset in a highly technical and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical motor control systems
- Work with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) including programming and diagnostics
- Read and interpret electrical control schematics
- Assist with control panel wiring and fault finding
- Service stormwater, wastewater, industrial, and pump systems
- Work with PLC, telemetry, and instrumentation systems
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with industry and safety standards
Skills & Qualifications
- Current QLD Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Licence (Essential)
- Strong experience with electrical control systems, motor control & VSDs
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Hands-on experience with motor control fault finding
- Comfortable using iPad/iPhone and mobile field technology
- Experience with PLCs, telemetry, and instrumentation is highly desirable
- Manual driver’s licence required
Desirable Experience
- Maintenance & fault finding of electrical motor control systems
- Pump/motor repair & servicing
- Fire pumping, industrial, mining, or protection systems
- Stormwater and sewage pump system experience
