Skills and experience
Key desirable skills for this role will be experience and knowledge.
Some examples of other desirable attributes are highlighted below;
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
* Experience in road construction, bulk earthworks and drainage construction would be considered essential for senior role.
* 2 + years performing role.
* 1 + years main roads experience.
* Team player attitude.
* Department of defence contract/project experience.
* Ability to lead and manage teams to ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget.
* High level of ability interpreting plans, specifications and contract documents to achieve best for project and company outcomes would be preferred.
* Practical experience and ability to apply real world outcomes to construction.
* Ability to monitor Materials/Equipment/Subcontractors/Costs and provide productive outcomes.
* Compliance with specifications, project requirements, including quality assurance documentation.
* Computer MS Suite literate and capable.
* Have a methodical and organised approach to work.
* Be self-motivated with a positive attitude.
* A hands-on approach.
* Candidates local to Rockhampton are preferred, though other arrangements would be considered.
