The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology offers a consultative service supported by a Level 4 maternity unit, a Level 4 neonatal unit, and an eight-bed intensive care unit. The maternity unit houses the birthing suite and all inpatient maternity services for the region. Antenatal care is delivered at the hospital and various outreach clinics.
Each year, the department manages approximately 1,000 births.

AHPRA Specialist Registration or eligible for AHPRA, Provisional or limited Registration
AHPRA fast track expedited pathway - Eligible internationally qualified specialist obstetricians and gynaecologists are considered and suitable to apply
IMG’s assessed by RANZCOG College as substantially comparable (doctors currently interviewing with RANZCOG may express their interest)
