About the Role
The Assistant Principal is a key member of the secondary school's leadership team, working closely with the Principal to foster a positive, inclusive and high-achieving learning environment. The Assistant Principal supports the strategic direction of the school through collaborative decision-making, goal setting and the implementation of initiatives that enhance teaching and learning. The Assistant Principal leads the delivery of evidence-based practices, monitors student progress and applies data to drive continuous improvement. A strong emphasis is placed on supporting teachers through professional development, coaching and mentoring, while also strengthening partnerships with families and the broader school community. This position requires a blend of instructional leadership and operational management, along with a commitment to ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.

Qualificationsand Eligibility Criteria
* Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching
* ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
* ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration.
* Academic qualifications additional to Initial Teacher Education (Master's Degree or five-year equivalent)
* Provide a reference from a current Parish Priest
* Accreditation E or be due to complete Accreditation E in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn Policy
* Practising Catholic connected to a parish or other worshipping community
