Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Civil team and play a key role in the successful delivery of large-scale projects.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Contracts Manager will oversee the commercial and contractual management of civil construction projects from tender award through to project completion.
This role will suit a commercially astute professional who thrives in fast-paced project environments and can build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage head contracts and subcontract agreements across civil projects
Oversee contract administration, compliance and risk management
Review, negotiate and administer variations, claims and extensions of time
Support project teams with commercial advice and contractual guidance
Monitor project performance against budgets, forecasts and contractual obligations
Develop and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
Ensure all contractual reporting requirements are met
Assist with procurement strategies and subcontractor engagement
Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies
About You
Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Contract Administrator role within civil construction, mining or infrastructure
Strong knowledge of Australian construction contracts and commercial frameworks
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work collaboratively across operational and commercial teams
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering or similar
