A landscape apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with a formal qualification, like a Certificate III in Landscape Construction, to train you for roles such as a landscaper. Choosing landscaping as a career can be one of the most rewarding things you will do if you have a passion for the trade. Landscaping work is quite different to any other trade because your skill base will need to be quite wide.
You will need to gain skills across a broad range of fields including machinery operation, truck driving, timber structures, basic building knowledge, plumbing, irrigation, plant knowledge, horticultural skills and garden maintenance skills to just mention a few.
Requirements:
- A drivers license is not required to start in this role, but must be obtained as soon as possible.
- No experience needed, although we would like to see a work history demonstrating hard work, teamwork, and a willingness to learn, plus a few strong references to tell us all about yourself from employers, community members and or school teachers will help you.
