Abundant Living Community Services is a registered NDIS service provider based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, providing support and care to people with disabilities and their families across central Australia and Adelaide.
Our goal is to help people live independently and confidently by empowering them through our services within the home care and exercise programs in our gym setup.
About the Role:
Are you an Allied Health student seeking real-world, paid experience while studying externally and living locally? Or perhaps you're a fully qualified Allied Health Assistant looking to enhance your skills?
Abundant Living is seeking a Therapy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll deliver Exercise, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy programs to clients under the supervision of qualified Allied Health Professionals. You'll engage in both individual and group therapy sessions, adhering to a family-centred model of practice.
This position is based locally in Alice Springs and the surrounding community. It is a fulltime position and you will receive consistent support from our therapists both in person and remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients and their families in achieving therapy goals through the delivery of therapy programs.
Gain valuable experience in the rapidly growing disability sector while receiving ongoing support from our Allied Health Professionals.
Advocate for our clients and support them in reaching their goals and independence.
Key Requirements:
Certificate IV in Allied Health, or;
Fully qualified and/or experienced Allied Health Assistant (minimum Certificate III).
Valid Working With Children Check (Blue Card) and NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module training.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Current driver's license.
Strong interpersonal skills with an understanding of professional boundaries and scope of practice.
