We're looking for an experienced Auto Electrician to join our mining operations team, bringing not only strong technical skills in vehicle electrical systems but also a proven experience with communications and mining technologies.
About the Role
In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing Auto Electrical systems on a range of heavy mining equipment and light vehicles. A key focus will be working with advanced communications and monitoring technologies within the mining sector.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on mining equipment and vehicles
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot mining technology and communications systems (eg: 2way radios, fleet management, Network Radio, High Precision GPS, Collision Avoidance Systems, IVMS)
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance and operations teams to ensure safe and efficient outcomes
What We're Looking for:
- Trade Qualification as an Auto Electrician
- Experience with mining or heavy equipment
- Experience in communications or electronics trade
- Proven track record in mine site, workshop or OEM environments
- Strong knowledge of communications technologies used in mining
- Problem solving mindset with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment
- Motivated team player looking to make a difference
- Experienced Communication Technicians and 3rd/4th Year Auto Electrical Apprentices are welcome to apply.
- Background in Fleet Management Systems is advantageous but not required (MineStar, Modular Mining).
- Current S11 and CBM (preferred)
