The opportunity
We are in the market for an experienced and qualified professional with experience in coordinating the maintenance and management of civil infrastructure assets (road, paths, drainage and bridges). As the Coordinator you will lead a team to deliver and achieve business objectives outlined in the City of Mandurah’s Strategic, Business and Asset Management Plans. You will be responsible for providing leadership to the City’s Roads and Drainage team to ensure the work carried out is within budget and to agreed quality standards and customer expectations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Degree in Engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia)
* Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience in the construction or maintenance of civil infrastructure assets
* Current unrestricted ‘C’ class driver’s licence
* Experience in managing large operational teams in a multi-skilled environment
* Experience in budgeting and expenditure management
* Experience in procurement procedures and practices
* Thorough knowledge and experience in estimating, budget costing, project administration and management to enable a cost-effective operation of the Council budget
* A thorough understanding of Local Government requirements to ensure all works are carried out according to the general requirements of the Local Government Act, other appropriate Acts and Australian Standards and to the specific requirements of Council policy
* High-level leadership and coordination skills
