We are partnering with a national organisation delivering essential apprenticeship support services to help apprentices and employers achieve successful apprenticeship completion outcomes.

This is a phone and virtual-based mentoring role, focused on providing tailored guidance, pastoral care and practical support to apprentices throughout their journey.

About the role

As an Apprenticeship Mentor, you will deliver personalised mentoring and support services to apprentices and employers, primarily via phone and video. Your work will help apprentices stay engaged, overcome barriers, and progress toward successful completion.

You will support individuals across three key areas:

* Pastoral care and complex needs support
* Career guidance and advice
* Peer and industry support networks

While the role is predominantly remote and phone-based, occasional site visits may be required.

Key responsibilities

* Deliver tailored mentoring and support services to apprentices and employers
* Develop and maintain individualised support plans, updated after each contact
* Provide guidance around wellbeing, career planning, workplace engagement and transitions
* Support employers with strategies to effectively supervise and manage apprentices
* Conduct risk and suitability assessments where required
* Maintain accurate, timely records in line with program and compliance requirements
* Work to agreed KPIs, service standards and apprenticeship retention outcomes

About you

You are someone who genuinely enjoys supporting others and can balance empathy with structure and accountability. You are comfortable working autonomously, managing a large caseload, and engaging with people through phone and virtual channels.

You will ideally bring:

* Certificate IV in Career Development or Employment Services (or willingness to obtain)
* Sound knowledge of apprenticeships and traineeships
* Experience in youth mentoring, counselling, employment services or client‐focused support roles
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to meet KPIs and work within regulated frameworks
* High level of digital confidence and accurate record-keeping skills
* Lived experience as an apprentice (highly regarded)

Pre‐employment requirements

* National Police Check
* Working with Children Check (Employee)
* Current driver's licence
