Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position forms part of a small team responsible for repairs and maintenance of the feedlot, farm infrastructure, and plant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime by providing effective and efficient preventative and scheduled maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performing general welding and fabrication duties
* Engaging in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments, and appliances
* Ensuring all work is carried out to meet safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to relevant regulations
* Supporting other projects that may arise
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years post-trade experience
* Previous welding and fabrication experience preferred
* Experience with S/S Tig, Mig, Stick, Oxy advantageous
* Ability to work autonomously and in a team
* Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Demonstrated ability to identify faults with troubleshooting and rectification skills
* Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills
* Thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
* Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
* Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures
* Confined Space and BA Competence highly desired
