About the Role
Security officers are required for a leading provider of security services in Australia and New Zealand. The company has a highly experienced management team and industry-leading expertise.
The roles are located in Launceston, Tasmania, and involve working as a Security Officer. Full-time and casual opportunities are available with a variety of shifts to choose from.
The ideal candidate will have a Tasmanian Security Licence and First Aid Certificate, flexibility to work 24/7 rotating rosters, WWVP Check, and experience in a healthcare environment. Good physical fitness, conflict resolution skills, and excellent communication skills are also essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Availability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights/weekends (24/7 availability)
* Excellent customer service skills
* General security duties - patrols, external and internal locks ups and more
* Lateral thinking in solving issues that may arise
* Understanding of communication lines and chain of command
* Understanding of emergency and alarm response protocols, including fire systems
* Protect and maintain security & integrity of building and infrastructure
* Submit electronic or paper incident and hazard reports
* Well-presented and well-spoken
* Good IT skills
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tasmanian Security Licence and First Aid Certificate
* Flexibility to work 24/7 rotating rosters
* WWVP Check
* Experience in a healthcare environment (highly desirable)
* Good level of physical fitness
* Ability to work in high-pressure environments
