An established Australian large-scale irrigation specialist who provides engineered solutions and project delivery is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Integrator to lead the electrical implementation, design planning, commissioning and testing of electrical systems and automation solutions.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, end-to-end role working closely with technical leadership, design, projects, contractors and system integration partners to ensure compliant, high-quality electrical outcomes.
The role (key responsibilities)
* Provide technical support externally and internally for drives and control systems
* Electrical commissioning for plant / projects
* Confirm electrical concepts meet customer requirements and overall project scope
* Partner with design to ensure electrical scope, installation hardware and WHS requirements are met and ensure all designs and installations comply with Australian Electrical Standards and relevant local service installation rules
* Engage external consultants/engineers where required to validate theories and calculations
* Develop electrical scopes covering sensor suites, automation hardware and installation requirements
* Prepare installation scopes for contractors aligned to project design
* Maintain strong knowledge of electrical automation systems, products and emerging technologies
* Identify and recommend design/control system improvements that add value for clients
Electrical automation & system integration (partner management)
* Create electrical automation scopes for system integrators to quote against
* Review quotes and designs to ensure alignment with project scope
* Review and approve drawings prior to production
* Support and train system integrators in electrical automation fundamentals specific to hydraulic implementation
* Triage controlled system failure calls to support faster resolution
* Ensure consistency across projects in line with customer requirements and project standards
Commissioning, QA and client handover
* Confirm installations meet the approved electrical scope and project design intent
* Verify compliance with standards and installation rules
* Support customer acceptance and satisfaction at commissioning/handover
* Ensure changes to electrical concepts are captured and managed through project variation processes
Training, support & internal collaboration
* Train internal staff in electrical automation integration fundamentals
* Provide electrical technical advice to new and existing clients
* Deliver customer training as required
* Support sales with technical input (including designs and pricing support)
* Attend sales, design and project meetings
* Complete timesheets and documentation to a high professional standard
* Assist with invoice checking as required
What you'll bring
* Full electrical licence
* Experience in electrical automation, drives and PLC systems
* Confident communicator (written and verbal) with a professional, ethical approach
* Ability to work with initiative and minimal supervision, while collaborating across teams
* Strong time management and ability to meet strict deadlines
* Able to travel
