Shipbuilding Fabrication Specialist
The role involves working on the fabrication, assembly, and repair of structural and mechanical components for submarines.
This requires a high level of skill and attention to detail in order to meet strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fabricate metal and composite components using welding processes such as MMAW and GTAW.
* Interpret technical drawings and perform quality checks to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to maintain a safe work environment and achieve project goals.
Requirements:
* Experience in MMAW/GTAW welding processes is essential.
* Welding Certification 3E and quenched & tempered steel experience are required.
* Previous shipbuilding experience is highly valued.
* Able to work in confined spaces and adapt to challenges.
* Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail skills are necessary.
* Able to obtain and maintain an NV1 Defence Security Clearance and hold a current National Police Clearance.
