We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Category Specialist. This role will be pivotal in driving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability across our client's supply chain, ensuring that they maintain the highest standards while maximising value.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end category management process.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide strategic guidance on procurement decisions.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, potential risks, and opportunities for optimisation.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual agreements, addressing any issues or discrepancies as needed.
Champion sustainable procurement practices, ensuring that environmental and social considerations are integrated into decision-making processes.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Solid knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of driving results and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Category management experience with proven abilities to develop and implement commercial strategies.
