The Role
We are currently seeking a Purchasing Officer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for initiating purchase orders for goods and services, identifying and making contact with suitable suppliers and placing enquiring for quotations.
The key function of the Purchasing Officer's role is to communicate order status closely with the sales and manufacturing teams to assist in production and delivery scheduling.
About You
While prior purchasing experience is preferred, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual who is confident, can communicate clearly, thrive in a team environment, can manage multiple tasks, and take pride in delivering accurate work with careful attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing requisitions and initiating purchased orders.
* Communicating with vendors and internal stakeholders.
* Identifying suitable suppliers of goods and services.
* Negotiating pricing and delivery times of required goods and services.
* Ensuring required documentation is received with goods and services from suppliers.
* Tracking and expediting purchase orders and coordinating deliveries.
* Communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders with updated delivery information.
