About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong, the McKellar Centre in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and regional aged care facilities. We deliver comprehensive mental health, community health, and dental services across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
About the role
Clinicians conduct high-quality, timely mental health, alcohol, and drug triages to determine appropriate treatment pathways for infants, children, and young people. Referrals are received both in writing and via phone, primarily through tele-triage. Under governance, senior clinicians provide clinical advice, recommendations, and referrals, demonstrate leadership within the Child and Youth Triage team, support RPN3 clinicians, and may act as Phone Triage Manager. They are also responsible for shift coordination, including managing staffing shortfalls.
