Key responsibilities will include:

* Drafting and reviewing commercial and transactional documentation, including project‑related agreements.
* Providing legally sound and commercially pragmatic advice to internal stakeholders.
* Identifying legal and commercial issues and obtaining appropriate instructions to progress matters.
* Preparing internal briefings and supporting decision‑making processes.
* Instructing and managing external legal service providers.
* Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders (including director‑level and above) and liaising with other public sector agencies to support project outcomes.

The role is hybrid, with a minimum requirement of two days onsite per week .

Key Requirements:

* Approximately 5–10 years' post‑admission experience .
* Experience in projects, infrastructure, or strong commercial/transactional work within a projects environment.
* Proven ability to work autonomously and manage matters end‑to‑end.
* Strong drafting, advisory and stakeholder management skills.
* Public sector experience is advantageous but not essential.

LOD is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Diversity and inclusion is a core part of our Ways of Working, and we celebrate and embrace it. We know the individual differences of our people make us collectively better and we encourage all applicants; including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, career breaks, gender diverse, LGBTQIA, and culturally diverse communities to join us so we can do great things together.
