Job Title- Network Engineer
Location- Sydney/Melbourne (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, WAPs) to meet business demands
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and resolve incidents to minimize downtime
- Configure, maintain, and secure network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs)
- Implement security measures: firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, segmentation, access control policies
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, backups, and disaster recovery procedures
- Document network configurations, topologies, standards, and change history I
- Support and mentor IT staff on networking best practices and tools
- Coordinate with vendors, third-party providers, and other IT teams for infrastructure projects
- Stay updated on technological advancements and integrate improvements when needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or equivalent
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in network configuration and administration
- Proficiency with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless infrastructure
- Deep understanding of protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, and VLAN tagging
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
