Executive Director of Finance and Governance
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Finance and Governance to join their team. This visionary leader will be responsible for the whole-of-organization financial strategy, governance, compliance, and risk management. The role involves leading a business unit that includes finance, reporting, risk, audit, legal, and compliance functions, and providing strategic financial advice to the CEO, Board, and Executive Team. The successful candidate will also oversee budgeting, forecasting, capital management, and investment portfolios, drive enterprise‑wide risk management, and ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory obligations.
Applicants must have a CPA or CA qualification with over 10 years' experience in senior finance leadership, and a proven track record in governance, risk, and compliance within the not‑for‑profit or charitable sector. Strong commercial judgement, the ability to interpret complex financial and regulatory information, and experience in leading high‑performing teams with a collaborative approach are essential. The role requires excellent communication skills to engage and build partnerships at the C‑Suite and Board level. A Company Secretary qualification and experience under ACNC and Corporations Act, as well as a postgraduate qualification in governance or risk, are desirable.
