Monash Health are seeking an Operations Manager to join the Specialist Consulting and Health Information team.

**About the Role**

This position is responsible for managing and leading the Referral Management Department primarily responsible for the processing and screening of referrals, scheduling appointments, waiting list management and responding to consumer enquiries.

In this management role, you will have overall responsibility for a team and your key responsibilities will include:

- Manage referrals, appointments, waiting list and other processes that support specialist consulting operations
- Comply with governing Department of Health & Human Services (DOH) policies.
- Establish appropriate gateways and methods to effectively communicate with patients and providers
- Drive system and process improvements aimed to enhance the patient experience and the overall service delivery
- Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to facilitate and implement change

**About You**

You are an experienced people leader and have a passion for people and systems. With tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or relevant experience, you have already built significant capability and you can readily demonstrate:

- Effective people management experience
- An understanding of governing DHHS policies and guidelines
- Ability to establish, review and implement new systems, processes and procedures
- Capability to implement and drive change to meet goals and requirements
- Proven facilitation, negotiation and interpersonal skills enabling effective stakeholder management
- Logical, analytical and lateral thinking ability.

Experience in people and change management is desirable and an understanding of specialist consulting operations will be an advantage.

**Mandatory requirements of the role**:

- Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline or relevant experience
- Victorian drivers licence
