Most people don't leave a job because it's unbearable.
They leave because, deep down, they know it's going nowhere.
Right now, a lot of trades are sitting in that exact spot—
steady enough to stay... but uncertain enough to worry.
Work is slowing in places. Margins are tightening.
And the truth is—some companies won't ride that out.
The question is:
Do you wait and see... or do you move while you've got options?
We're not the "wait and see" type.
At Harrington Drainage, we've built something different:
* Consistent, locked-in pipeline of work – not scrambling week to week
* Local jobs – less travel, earlier finishes, more time at home
* Saturday work optional – earn more if you want it, not because you have to
* Paid upskilling – expand your tickets, increase your long-term value
* Modern equipment + organised systems – less chaos, more productivity
* Strong team culture built on Communication, Excellence, and Ownership
This isn't just about your next job.
It's about where you'll be 2–3 years from now.
Why people stay stuck (and why you shouldn't)
There's a reason good operators stay in roles they've outgrown:
familiarity feels safer than change.
But the people who actually move ahead in this industry?
They're the ones willing to make the uncomfortable call before they're forced to.
Security isn't staying where you are.
Security is positioning yourself where the work already is.
What we're looking for:
* Qualified Plumber and/or experienced Operator
* BPC registered plumber (Victoria)
* Current and valid driver's Licence (required)
* Excavator ticket, Truck (HR) Licence (required for Operator)
* Construction Induction Card (White Card)
* Experience across residential & underground drainage projects
If you've been thinking about making a move—but haven't pulled the trigger yet—
this is your moment to actually do something about it.
